There is no shortage of festivals and events held throughout the year offering both resident and visitor alike a wide ranging choice. From Stone Skimming to Shakespeare the variety is enormous.

Local visitors can keep up to date by catching the latest copy of the Pembrokeshire "Coast to Coast" Newspaper this usually contains a full listing of each months events. A copy is nearly always available in the Lodge for the use of all visitors.

Festivals:

Fishguard Folk Festival, Fishguard
An annual celebration of folk music, song and dance, The festival takes place over four days during the late Spring Bank Holiday weekend in the historic seaport town of Fishguard in Pembrokeshire, West Wales. featuring;- Niamh Ni Charra with Mike Galvin; Beverly Smith & Carl Jones; Ember; Nick Wyke & Becki Driscoll; Sild & Toreth.

Really Wild Festival, St Davids
An annual festival celebrating food and countryside crafts originating from the Wild!
Chef demonstrations and tastings, local foods and crafts,walks and talks...something for everybody! Held on 30th and 31st August 2008.

St Davids Cathedral Festival, St Davids
For nine days annually in May and June the cathedral is host to a feast of classical music.

The Fiddle Festival of Wales, Stackpole Centre
A long weekend of Fiddle based workshops, performances and competition.
There are workshops available for Juniors to Senior, absolute beginners to the more accomplished fiddler. Accommodation and camping available, book early to avoid disappointment. Held on August 28th to 31st 2008.


Events:

Shakespeare, in St Dogmaels Abbey
Spectacle and live music are all part of the tradition established by the Abbey Shakespeare Players in the magical setting of St Dogmaels Abbey. This years production will be Henry IV, the two parts of Henry IV will be presented as a single edited performance, raise questions about leadership and honour that are as valid today as ever they were. Directed by Georgina Ferry. performances on Wed 30 July–Sat 2 August, 2008.

The Sealed Knot Society, Scolton Manor Museum and Park nr Haverfordwest
Major General Rowland Laugharne’s Company 17th Century Great Civil Warre Living History Camp and Skirmish re-enactment. Held over the weekend 9th & 10th August 2008 TBC

Wales Open Stone Skimming Championships, Castle Pond in Pembroke
For a skim to qualify, the stone must bounce at least 3 times - it is then judged on the distance achieved before it sinks. Takes place in August date TBD.

Mostonbrook Sanctuary, Dolfynydd Farm
The Dolfyndd show is held on the second Sunday in June each year. We are The Mostonbrook sanctuary equine home of rest, we rescue ponies and donkeys that have been ill treated or who are retired or to frail to work or who have been overworked, and or abandoned We will be open from May Day Bank holiday all summer to visitors
